I am not a monster: Schizophrenia

Cecilia McGough

  • Delusions
  • Hallucinations
  • Disorganized Speech
  • Negative Symptons

Not all will have delusions/ hallucinations

McGough symptons started in Freshman when she tried to commit suicide. Since then, she has been experiencing awaking nightmares. She believes she can hear, feel and see things that are not actually there.

McGough has hallucinations, seeing a clown and spiders everywhere.  With spiders, she can hear kids laughing when the spiders run along the floor. The clown (similar to Stephen Kinds IT) talks to her, demanding that she stabs someone. Moreover, McGough can all see a girl, almost like the ring; taunting her to stab herself.

It took McGough 8 Months after her suicide attempt to get help. Her mother was off put by the idea her McGough getting help as stutus was thought upon a lot. Her mother would tell McGough people will see her as dangerous, crazy and someone that wont get a job.

In 2 years, McGough has been to the Schizo ward 5 times. She even in one event had to submit herself.

Research she discovered:

  • 1/10 people commit suicide
  • 4/10 Try to commit Suicide
